This is an antique French kiln fired enamel blue dresser casket box. It has brilliant fluorescent enameling of geometric floral designs on four rectangular fired convex plaques. The gilt and beaded frame has a splayed base with dual circular bun feet. Many of these enamel works were produced by artisans and companies in France, some were retailed by Tahan in Paris. This looks like a Tahan piece, but there are no marks or signatures present. There is rubbing to the gilt frame. The material in the interior is present but shows some staining. There are two tiny jewels missing from the decoration, one red and one white. It is in excellent condition and an exceptional size at 12" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2." SC.
