This is a Richards and Hartley Bar and Diamond or Zipper Swirl decanter clear glass bottle. It has a pontil mark on the base, so it was mold blown. The pattern is of zipper swirl bands alternating with curved top bands. There is a large diamond point sawtooth rim at the top and bottom of the decanter. The stopper has a ground base. Richards and Hartley made this pattern beginning in 1891. It is authentic Early American Pattern Glass or EAPG. It is 9 3/4" tall to the top of the stopper and 5" wide. It is in fair to good condition. Several of the diamond points are chipped at the tip. There is a crack at the shoulder, and the base of the ground stopper is chipped with a large missing chunk of glass. The piece displays well. MBR.
