Here is a 19th Century or earlier Imperial Yellow Chinese porcelain vase mounted as a lamp. The vase or jar dates to the 19th century at least, the lamp portions are from the 20th century. This shade of yellow glaze is also called egg-yolk yellow or mustard. The lamp is in good working condition. Most items from the period show a faint crackle in the glaze, spots or irregular pigment, etc, and this vase is no exception. There is a fine crackle in the glaze throughout, as well as a few dark spots and lines under the glaze. The jar is 5" tall and 2 3/4" wide, the lamp is 8 3/4" tall. The lamp fixture is marked C-H Patented 660W 250V. More pictures of the foot under the lamp base and the neck or mouth of the vase are available.
