This is a pair of Chinese Porcelain tea cups with no handles in the rice grain pattern. They are thin, fine porcelain, hand potted and etched with a translucent rice grain design in the walls. They are hand painted inside and out with a banana leaf and floral pattern in cobalt blue. There is also gold trim. One is marked on the base, the other is not. The designs of the borders and flower in the center bottom are slightly different. These date to the late 1800s-early 1900s. Each is 2 7/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall. They are in excellent condition.
