This is a pair of Charles Ahrenfeldt & Sons Saxe Austria antique 8 1/2" wide porcelain plates. The green crown Saxe mark on the back identifies them as Charles Ahrenfeldt and dates them to 1886-1910. They are hand painted with three yellow ears of corn on each plate, corn husks in green and a brownish gray, and dark green and red bands around the rim. The plates also have a slight embossed design around the rim. In addition to the Saxe mark, they have hand painted numbers 3013/1345 in red. One of the plates as a faded signature of the artist, but I can't make it out. A kind customer has informed me the faded mark also reads Austria. The plates are in very good to excellent condition with no chips or cracks and only a tiny bit of wear to the paint.
