This is an antique tin head Minerva doll with a cloth body. The head is molded tin with hand painted features, including blond hair and blue eyes. There is wear to the paint, mostly on the hair. It has not been repainted. The back of the shoulders is signed Germany 0, the front has a logo or emblem but does not have the Minerva name. Doll head is 3 1/4" tall. Total doll length is 11 1/2." The body, arms, legs, etc. are all cloth. She has mitten hands. The doll has been displayed and the dress has faded. It is a much lighter blue on the front than on the back. My favorite part of the outfit is the striped stockings she wears. Minerva tin doll heads were made between 1886-1930. MBR.
