This is a vintage hand painted porcelain vase decorated with purple forget me not flowers. It has gilt gold trim on the neck. The vase is a squat, fat bottom shape. It is 4 3/4" wide and 2 1/4" high. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a green underglaze Bavaria mark as well as the painter's initials on the underside. Porcelain painting was popular and done by professionals and amateurs from 1873 into the early 1900s. This piece was by an amateur, but well done. SC.
