This is an antique mother of pearl dip pen, circa 1880. It has a tapered handle and a gilt metal holder. It comes in an elongated rectangle box of the period, the fabric covering of the box shows some wear. The pen is 5 1/4" long, the box is 7 1/4" long. It is not marked or signed. An identical pen can be seen in the book Antique Writing Instruments by Schneider & Fischler. SC.
