This is an 800 silver Maidenhead spoon made in Germany, marked Netter, in the late 1800s or 19th century. Netter is possibly a variation of the name Nader. The spoon is 8" long. It is an elongated spoon with chased bowl and a twisted handle that terminates in the maidenhead figural piece at the end. The head on the spoon is a representation of the Virgin Mary. The spoon is in very good to excellent condition, there is slight surface wear. SC.
