This is a large Victorian era late 1800s hammered brass kettle, planter, pot, or cauldron. It is kettle shaped with lion heads holding elaborate ring handles in their mouths. The pot is 13" wide across the rim and 10 1/4" tall. It stand on three ball feet or toes. There is a maker mark, but I can't read it. I believe this piece is Russian. It is in very good condition. There is one sizeable dent in the side, and a lovely patina all over. There is some green verdigris on the inside. MBR.
