This is a sweet cottage ware cream and sugar marked Made in Occupied Japan. Both are shaped like little houses with thatched roofs. The details are all hand painted. Both pieces are heavily crazed, and the sugar bowl has a crack under the handle extending down to the window frame on the right side. There is a also a chip in the handle on the lower curve.. The Occupied Japan marks date to 1945-1952, when Japan was under USA Military Occupation following World War II. MBR.
