Here is a vintage cottageware teapot with a paper label on bottom indicating it was made in Japan. The teapot is creamware, with hand painted details. The lid looks like a thatched roof, and there is an embossed fence running around the base. There is an embossed scene of a house and barn with trees on the front. The pot is heavily crazed, but there are no chips or cracks. There is an incised MR mark on the base. It is 7 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" tip to spout. It holds 32 oz.
