This is a vintage 1972 recreation of a 1916 Woodrow Wilson for President political pin. It reads "War in Europe Peace in America God Bless Wilson." Ironically, Wilson got relected in 1916, defeating Charles Evans Hughes, on the promise of keeping the U.S.A. out of World War I, but after the election we still entered the war. The pin is a hair under 1" wide. It is marked around the rim "Wilson 1916 A-O-1972-12." It is in excellent condition. MBR.
