This is a set of seven salad plates with an elaborate swirled and scalloped rim and gold trim. Of the seven plates, there are five different bird scenes, two are repeated. The decoration is a combination of transfer and hand painting. The game birds in the foreground have hand painted details, the backgrounds are transfer. The meadow looks like transfer, the sky looks hand painted. The gold floral border is transfer. The mark on the back reads T & V France France (France appears twice). T & V stands for Tresseman & Vogt, a Limoges porcelain company that was in production from 1891-1907. Each plate is 8 1/2" wide. One plate has a tiny chip along the rim which I have tried to show in a photograph. The rest are in excellent condition.
