This is an antique wash pitcher in white ironstone marked "Royal Patent Ironstone Burgess & Goddard" on the base. Burgess & Goddard was a partnership between American and British business, their wares were marked Goddard & Burgess in England and Burgess & Goddard in the US. The pitcher was made between 1848-1890. It is 12 1/2" tall and 8" wide. It is only decorated around the handle, with some embellishment on the handle and just below the top of the pitcher. The rim is scalloped. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I do not have the matching basin, but I do have a plain white ironstone basin listed separately if you want a mixed set.
