This is a solid white milk and caramel slag glass swirled owl on a stump or rock figurine. It is 5 1/2" tall. The owl has red glass eyes. It is not signed or marked. This mold was originally used by Westmoreland, but in later years the mold was purchased and used by Fenton. This piece is not marked or labeled, so I don't know which company made it. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Westmoreland called this the OS-1, Line #1 Owl on stump. It is also sometimes referred to as the one pound owl due to the weight. This owl is pictured in a variety of colors in the book Westmoreland Glass The Popular Years 1940-1985 by Lorraine Kovar on page 273.
