This is a vintage 1980s Beged-Or rust suede leather long trench coat for women. The label inside reads Beged-Or London Paris New York Made in Uruguay. In the 1960s-70s, Beged-Or was a high end leather clothier in Israel that sold to the luxury market. In 1981, the company went in to bankruptcy and was purchased by Polgat Industries, a large Israeli company that planned to use the Beged-Or name to appeal to more middle-class buyers and move production out of Israel to cheaper locations for labor. Since this coat was made in Uruguay, I believe it is post 1981. The coat is a vintage size 14. I wear a size 14 today, and it is a little too small to button on me. The external measurements on the coat are a 38 bust (measured straight across at the base of the armpit) and a 37 waist (measured at the waist seam where the belt sits). There is a tear in the lining at the vent/slit in back, and some of the stitching in the suede is loose and coming undone right there. Please see photos. There is no other damage.
