Last Chance! This is a vintage 1980s Beged-Or rust suede leather long trench coat for women. The label inside reads Beged-Or London Paris New York Made in Uruguay. In the 1960s-70s, Beged-Or was a high end leather clothier in Israel that sold to the luxury market. In 1981, the company went in to bankruptcy and was purchased by Polgat Industries, a large Israeli company that planned to use the Beged-Or name to appeal to more middle-class buyers and move production out of Israel to cheaper locations for labor. Since this coat was made in Uruguay, I believe it is post 1981. The coat is a vintage size 14. I wear a size 14 today, and it is a little too small to button on me. The external measurements on the coat are a 38 bust (measured straight across at the base of the armpit) and a 37 waist (measured at the waist seam where the belt sits). There is a tear in the lining at the vent/slit in back, and some of the stitching in the suede is loose and coming undone right there. Please see photos. There is no other damage. This item will be removed April 1 to make room for new inventory. If you are interested, please feel free to make an offer!
