This is a small individual size bean pot with a dark brown glaze across the top third and lid. The bottom portion is tan with brown decoration of the head of a Texas longhorn and a variety of cattle brands. The pot is marked on the base with a Maple Leaf, which is the symbol used by Western Stoneware/Monmouth Pottery (a consortium of potteries with a long and complicated history). The pot is in excellent condition, but there is a tiny chip on the rim of the lid.
