This is the first edition of the 1936 Modern Library edition of the Varieties of Religious Experience by William James. William James is regarded as the father of American psychology. He was also the brother of Henry James, the novelist. The Varieties of Religious Experience is a collection of lectures he delivered in Edinburgh in 1901-1902. The book is in very good condition. There are a few small tears in the bottom of the dust jacket, but no other damage.
