This is a vintage stoneware crock, more properly termed a jar. It is glazed brown with Albany Slip on the top half and the interior. The lower half is glazed a white/grey color with Bristol Glaze. The jar is 7" wide and 8 3/4" tall. It has a flat grey glazed lid. This is probably a pickle jar. The two tone glaze means it was made after 1880. It is not marked or signed. The jar is in very good to excellent condition with some nicks and glaze skips in the finish. MBR.
