This is an antique piano scarf or shawl in cream ivory silk, lavishly embroidered with cream flowers, leaves, and vines. It is 41" square without the fringe, 51" square with the hand knotted fringe. It is in excellent, extraordinary condition. From the late 1800s through the mid 1900s, it was common to have a scarf like this draped across the top of a baby grand or grand piano. It can also be used a small table cloth covering, or you can use it as a shawl and wear it to dress up any outfit! MBR.
