This is a bulbous bottom crimped top black depression amethyst glass vase, made by the Westite company in Weston, West Virginia. This vase is pictured on page 143 of the book "The Black Glass Encyclopedia," by the West Virginia Museum of American Glass. The vase was produced in the 1920s-30s. It is 4 3/4" tall and 4 5/8" wide, in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
