This vintage souvenir travel scarf features a map of the Hawaiian Islands in the center surrounded by circle ring with verses about Hawaii in the circle. There are two verses of a poem that repeat over and over around the ring. One reads "The melodies are so sweet as mild trade winds blow, It is the HULA that makes our hearts glow. In our little hut beside the sea, We sing and we laugh. This is HAWAII, lovely HAWAII." The other reads "In the small grass shack that stands by the sea, There's HULA with music. This is Hawaii. The flowers are smiling at you and me, We have fun with the UKE. This is HAWAII." The scarf is 30 1/2" square. The hem is hand stitched and rolled with a sewn in label that says "100% Acetate RN 21821 Dry Cleaning Only Made in Japan." It is in excellent condition.
