This is a vintage Black Angus brand small waffle iron. It makes four small rectangle waffles, or two good size square waffles. The cast iron plates are reversible for a flat griddle surface. The label on the front reads "Black Angus MOD 932 1100 W 120 V." The actual manufacturer of the waffle iron was Son-Chief Electrics. The base of the iron is marked "S.C. El. A.C. Only Do Not Immerse In Liquid." Son-Chief made waffle irons that were sold under many different brand names, including Magic Maid, Penncrest, Duracrest, Airmaid, and Speed Master, along with the Black Angus name on this one. The lid is the Black Angus log engraved on the surface. There is a faceted glass jewel that lights up when the iron is heating. The iron is chrome and the handles and feet are black bakelite. The iron is 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" for the cooking surface, but the handles and electric components at the back take it to 13" x 8." The black rubber cord detaches for cleaning.
