Here is a Sona Ware hammered aluminum tea pot from the 1920s-1930s. It is aluminum, with the handle and knob in black bakelite. The bakelite pieces have faded to gray and match the aluminum color almost exactly, at first I thought they were aluminum, too. The pot is 5 3/4" tall to the top of the knob on the lid and 9 3/4" tip to handle. The base is marked "J. 184 Made by N.C.J. Ltd At The Aluminum Works Stratford-on-Avon England Reg. Sona Ware." It is in very good condition. There are some scratches and scuffs where the bright aluminum shows through the nice pewter colored patina.
