This is a souvenir plate features Chicago tourist attractions. It is green transferware. The scenes on the plate are the Chicago Natural History Museum, State Street, Buckingham Fountain, Old Watertower, Chicago Skyline and Lake Front, and Marina City Twin Towers. They conspicuously do not include the Sears Tower (now the Willis Tower), which was finished in 1973, so the plate is older than 1973. In addition, the Chicago Natural History Museum is not called the Field Natural History Museum. The museum used the Chicago name from 1943-1966, so the plate is also from that period. The plate is not marked or signed as to maker. It is 10" wide, in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
