This pitcher is a beautiful clear glass, possibly crystal, with a melon optic pattern. The top, lid, and handle are silver plate. There is a mark inside the lid that has a crown, then EL Germany. I believe it predates WWII. I have seen nearly identical pitchers marked Occupied Germany. The pitcher is 9 3/4" tall to the top of the thumb rest on the lid, and 8 1/2" wide from the front to the back of the handle. It is in excellent condition with no damage. There is a separate hollow ice core that can be filled with ice to keep your beverage cool without getting diluted. MBR.
