This belt is a classic of the American Southwest! Oval decorations called concha are linked together with simple circles of solid 925 sterling silver. The centers have beautiful green Royston Turquoise gemstones, this type of turquoise is found in one of the last American mines located in Tonopah, Nevada. Concha as a symbol started in Spain, a decoration that was originally used on the bridles and saddles of horses. The concha has been reshaped and adapted into a motif that is a favorite of Native American, particularly Navajo, silversmiths like Richard Jim who is the master metalsmith who created this beautiful belt.
