The cutting of this fine Ceylon Sapphire is really unique and interesting! A cornflower blue color in a well balanced cushion shape, this hand cut gem has a clear banding that stripes across the blue, and creates an interesting 'cats eye' effect that moves across the inside of the stone. Please note - this isn't a true cats eye or star phenomenon, but a unique result of the cutting of this beautiful gem. The intricate filigree work on the Art Deco era band features delicate floral accents and cutouts that will cascade beautifully down the finger when worn. This sapphire ring could be worn as a cocktail ring or even as a lovely alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring.
