In all my years of collecting this is one of the finest Edwardian Peignoirs I have ever come across. It originated from France and was possibly part of an Edwardian brides Trousseau. The Peignoir is made from a very fine white lawn cotton and is decorated with lace and embroidered white roses. The interior of the piece is a fine delicate pale pink silk that retains all of the buttons to fasten it and acts like a modesty panel. If you do require more photos please do ask as I am limited to 9 on the listing. The Peignoir is in very good antique condition and I can spot a couple of tiny foxing marks but nothing that detracts. This really is the most beautiful piece of Edwardian clothing and a rare survivor.
