This is the most stunning original large Palais Royal Scent bottle dating to the mid 19th century. The bottle would have been acquired on a Grand Tour. The bottle is empty but a hint of the scent that once filled it is evident. The bottle is heavy glass with decorative metal scroll work covering it with little inset vignettes of famous building around the world. This would have been brought home by the owner as a reminder of their trip. The bottle is completely original and still retains the original glass stopper which has no chips or damage. The bottle is in very good antique condition and I can see no damage to the glass just some slight age related marks to the metal work at the bottom of the bottle. The vignettes are in good condition with the one in the lid looking as though it has slightly moved over the years. It measures 4 3/4 inches high and 2 1/4 inches wide. A gorgeous decorative piece for the collector.
