This is the sweetest little bust of a pensive looking child/Cherub. I have owned him for a number of years. Sadly he is unmarked but I would estimate his age to be the beginning of the 20th century. He is absolutely delightful and looks wonderful as part of a Christmas display or wearing a religious crown. I am unsure as to what he is made of, it looks to be some sort of pottery or stoneware. He could possibly be Parian ware but I am not an expert, I purely bought him for his decorative appeal. He does have some age related marks and sadly his nose has been chipped at some time. Having said this it does not detract and he still displays beautifully. He measures 10 inches in height and 7 inches wide at the back of his base.
