This is one of the most stunning and show stopping 1920's Lamé shawls I have ever found. It originally came from a private collection and has been in my own for some time. The shawl is a silver lamé floral design held together by very thin threads of black only visible by looking closely, they are almost like cobwebs they are so fine. The shawl is lined with black satin and each end has hand knotted silky black fringing. The shawl is in very good condition considering the age of the piece and I have inspected it closely and can only find one area of the lamé that has thinned at one end. To be honest it is hardly noticeable and does not detract. The lamé has no tarnishing. The satin lining is in good vintage condition and the fringing is complete. The whole shawl measures 69 inches with a further 11 inches at either end of fringing. A gorgeous piece that would look stunning worn with an evening gown. It will be shipped in acid free tissue.
