This is the most exquisite gold Lamé skull cap dating to the 1920's. The cap was meant to be worn closely fitting and is modelled here by my 1920's wax lady Gaby to give you an idea of how it looks on a human head. The skull cap has a gold lame ribbon around the bottom and gold metallic lace. There are a couple of tiny lamé threads that are visible around the crown. The red silk lining of the skull cap does have holes and shattering as shown in my photographs but this could be replaced or left as it doesn't impact the exterior of the cap. The gold lamé ribbon on the outside does need a stitch to secure it back in place one side and there is some evidence of tarnishing to the lamé although nothing too terrible. A lovely piece that can still be worn.
