This really is the most exquisite Edwardian court train. The piece is amazing and made from powder blue chiffon, with a silver grey lamé lining and decoration. The collar is wired to stand up although it does have a little damage to it and the lace will require attaching to one side. It is decorated with lace and paste stones. The court train is very long and is decorated with swathes of silver Lamé with small paste stones. There is a little damage to the very bottom of the train which I have photographed but it does get lost in the billowing clouds of chiffon! There are two pieces of blue chiffon that will need re attaching to the train and also one piece of the lamé, I have also photographed these. The piece was very difficult to photograph in my lounge as it is so large and I am restricted to nine pictures on the listing so if you do require more please drop me a line. The train also came with written provenance and a photograph of the lady who owned it and wore it to be presented at Court. Her name was Laura Barnett and her daughter has written a letter stating that the dress she is wearing in the photo is a fancy dress she had made for her. There is also another list of items in the same hand writing and it is here that the court train is mentioned. These were found with the train in a vintage box which is not original to the train but I will keep them in the box and send them together. It really is the most stunning and ethereal piece and a lovely piece of Edwardian history. The train measures just over 10 feet in length! It does have age related wear and marks but this does not detract.
