Harlequin Boudoir Doll - Rare 1920's Anita Type
This lovely rare boudoir doll is from my own collection. This is an Anita type Boudoir doll dating from the 1920's and dressed in a Harlequin clown costume complete with collar and original hat with bells. The dolls face does have some marks but nothing too terrible and the body is cloth. The costume is original and made from cotton with three bells down the front. The doll has ruffles at the wrist and at the ankles. The Harlequin hat is original with a green satin rosette and two bells hanging at either end. I love her cheeky expression and sideways glancing eyes. The doll does have missing black hair to the back of her head but this is covered by the hat but I have photographed it for you to see.She is a lovely doll and rare to find these days, she would be fab as part of a collection or sitting in a boudoir. She measures approximately 30 inches high.
