These are a stunning pair of flapper shoes dating to the 1920's. The shoes are made from embroidered Chinese silk which possibly originated as 19th century sleevebands. There is unfortunately some splitting and damage to the silk which is totally age related as they are 90 plus years old. The heels are covered in rhinestones all of which are intact. There is some evidence of wear to the soles of the shoes as they were obviously party shoes and saw many a Charleston! The original makers mark is printed inside the shoes and they were made in Paris. They are rare and absolutely beautiful and would make a wonderful addition to a shoe collection. I would advise against wearing them due to the fragility of the silk.
