This is the most exquisite fine Gossamer wedding stole dating to the Edwardian period. The stole is a very fine delicate gossamer silk with silk borders and lace panels either end. In the centre of the stole there are large chiffon bows. The stole is weighted by clear beads at either end. The piece I think could also be worn as a train but my feeling is that it was originally designed to be a stole. The piece is in wonderful antique condition and I find it amazing that such a delicate treasure has survived the ravages of time. It would be perfect for a modern day bride, absolutely delightful!
