Likely crafted out of 19th century elements, this beautifully worn hall bench is an attractive seating piece built to last the test of time. The joinery is exposed with pinned through-tenons for the seat frame, a paneled back set in grooves and tenon-mortised corners locked in place with small wooden pegs. There is an old cushion included with the bench and beneath this is a hinged seat that raises to reveal a storage compartment. The slight dimension allows it to fit beautifully in a large hallway or entry way. Heavily worn, the unfinished pine is gorgeous with old oxidization and traces of paint that warm up the room as only a rough antique surface can.
