Original pair of Minton Secessionist Ware vases in excellent condition. They stand 5" tall. With the stylized Art Nouveau tube lined designs that characterize this line. Leon Victor Solon joined Mintons in 1895 and in 1903 they introduced the Secessionist line which he designed. The line continued until 1919. The scope of the line is immense both in the number and style of forms and decoration and shapes and the number of items produced - from jardinieres to soap dishes with everything imaginable in between. Other designers followed Solon who left in 1905 including John Wadsworth who took over when Solon left. Both are marked with the Minton Art Nouveau mark and the No. 31. No cracks or restoration, the bottom edge chip seen in the photo is not visible when the vase is upright and there are no other chips; there's the typical fine crazing associated with this glaze and one vase has some incomplete tube lining on one of the leaves (done in the making - not later damage) which can be seen in the second photo. Nice original pair that has been together since before WWI.
