Large, impressive 1920s or 30s Art Deco pottery vase produced at Boch Freres La Louviere Belgium. Designed by Charles Catteau who trained at Sevres and worked at Nymphenburg before coming to Boch Freres in 1907 where he quickly became head of the decorating department. His wares gained fame when they were shown at the 1925 Paris Exhibition. He is now considered one of the foremost Art Deco ceramics designers. This vase features 4 panels stylized bowls of flowers set off borders of turquoise and cobalt ovals all on the famous white crackle background. 12 1/2" tall and with a widest diameter of 5 1/2". Marked as shown with an incised shape # 805. In fine condition with no damage or wear.
