Unusual Mid Century Swedish art glass vase or sculpture made by SEA Glasbruk evokes organic underwater forms. SEA was founded in 1956 within the Kingdom of Crystal in Småland, Kosta and employed many fine glass designers. This piece, in heavy crystal with internal decoration of deep green with opaque white lines culminating in arches near the tips of the fronds. It is marked both with the gold foil label and inscribed: "SEA 7-150" on the base. It stands 10.5" tall and is in mint condition. The high quality crystal chimes loudly when thumped with a fingertip with each frond ringing a different note. This piece probably dates to the 1960s.
