Antique handmade Swedish silver covered box is 2 3/4" in diameter and 1 5/8" tall. The lid with a curved bevel and hand engraved border and bears the monogram PM in ornate script. Marked on the inner lip of the bottom with the Swedish 3 crowns mark commonly called the cat's paw with denotes the Swedish standard of 830 Silver; Maker's mark IL and the 3 deer heads city mark for Umea in northern Sweden and 03 the date mark for 1820. The box weighs in at 86 grams. As you might expect from a 196 year old piece, there are a few dents (most noticeable are the 2 minor dents on the lid & one on the edge of the base with only a few very minor scattered others) but the overall condition is excellent with no scratches or large dents or repairs.
