This listing is for a stunning Art Glass Vase. I believe that it is Scandinavian.
It was signed by the artist. I cannot read the signature well enough to give you a name. Please zoom in on my photo of the base. I have seen examples that resemble this one from the first part of the 1900's.
Color is a darker lime green that gradually gets lighter to a pale yellow to clear.
When you hold this work of art in your hands, it is hard to imagine that this began as a hand blown piece. It is exceptional.
Pedestal base has four sides. It has two patterns to the four sides. It is clear. In a couple of photos, it looks like the bottom of the pedestal is green - that it only from the reflection.
THIS GEM WEIGHS AN AMAZING SEVEN POUNDS.
The elderly woman that we purchased this vase from corrected us and said it should be called a Vessel because of its size. We had never heard that term before. I love learning something new.
It measures 8 3/4" tall. Mouth opens to 3 3/4" wide. The widest part of the vase is approx. 5" wide.
HAND BLOWN, DIAMOND WHEEL CUT, HAND POLISHED
As with all vintage glass, you will see signs of use and wear. This work of art is in excellent condition. Please examine the photos very carefully to add to my description. You are looking at a vintage vase that was used. Ask all needed questions before purchasing.
PHOTOS DO NOT DO JUSTICE TO ITS BEAUTY
