This listing is for a superior example of early Cut Glass. It appears to have been made by Pairpoint / Mt. Washington of New Bedford, MA. It is called a Cheese Dish / Cheese and Cracker Dish / Platter / Serving Bowl.
The cutting quality is quite exceptional. The center flower is outstanding. Notice even the tiny cutting inside the center is the largest flower. One of the flowers is either Clover or a Thistle. The cutting pattern on the edge of the dish is quite typical of Pairpoint.
This gem measures 9 1/4" wide. It weighs 3 1/3 pounds.
Condition: Glass is brilliant crystal clear. It is in excellent antique condition. There are a few very very tiny pin pricks here and there. Any white in the photos is from my camera flash. Remember that you are looking at a vintage item that was used. Please examine the photos very carefully to add to my description. Ask all needed questions before purchase.
