This listing is for a magnificent Royal Dux Bull figurine made of porcelain. It is model #836. This Art Deco piece is called “Standing Bull”. It was done in their Glossy White finish. Measures 7 1/8" long from the tip of one horn to the tip of the tail.and 4 1/2" tall to the top of its shoulder blade. The base is an oval 4½” long and 2¼” wide.
The base has the applied pink triangle and is stamped Hand Painted Royal Dux Made in Czechoslovakia.
It was designed by Jaroslav Jezek. This gorgeous figurine was produced in Duchov Czechoslovakia circa 1910-1914 at the Royal Dux Porcelain Factory. The exterior surface is finished with a clear glossy glaze revealing the pure white of the porcelain beneath. The Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur or Dux Porcelain factory began in 1860 by Eduard Eichler in Duchov, Bohemia. Before WW I, the pink triangles were left in a bisque, or unglazed, finish. After WW I, the figurines were entirely glazed including the base and the triangle.
It is in excellent vintage condition. It looks new. Any white in the photos from my camera flash. Remember this is a vintage item that was used. Examine photos carefully to add to description.
