This listing is for a stunning Copper Pot / Copper Pan / Copper Stock Pot. Remarkable piece. A true gem. It comes with its original cover. It is dovetailed. Every quality pan / pot should always have three rivets for the handle. It was hand hammered. The handle is made of iron with copper fittings. The pot measures 27 1/2" long including both handles, The pot itself is 12” wide x 9" deep.

You also have a RARE opportunity to own a piece of entertainment history. This pot came from the kitchen of the Copacabana Nightclub in New York City. We purchased it from a former chef who began cooking there in 1942. He was only 20 yrs. old at the time when he was hired as a cook’s helper. When he retired they let him take his set of pots and pans.

The club opened on November 10, 1940 at 10 East 60th Street in New York City. It was the most famous club in the country. Everyone who was anyone wanted to play there. Some were: Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Groucho Marx, Lena Horne, and Lucille Ball to name a few.

This copper pot was made by the V. Olac Company of Philadelphia circa 1900. I cannot find any records on when this company was founded but I did see Sotheby's selling some of their pans from the 1830's. The pan is marked.

It will be hard to find one better than this. The weight of a copper pot tells you the true quality. Always check on the weight of a pot before you buy it. THIS POT WEIGHS 21 POUNDS!!

It is in great antique condition. It does show wear from use. It was not cleaned or polished. It is being sold as found.
Please examine the photos very carefully to add to my description. Ask all needed questions before purchase. This is an antique item that was used. Any white in the photo is from my camera flash.
