This listing is for a RARE example of American Brilliant Period cut glass candlesticks by the Meriden Glass Company and the Eureka Silver Company.
Meriden Connecticut was center of silver and silver plate manufacturing. The Meriden Silver Plate Co. was started in 1852. As strange as it sounds, this company went by four different names - Marks read: The Meriden Silver Plate Co., The Meriden S.P.Co., International S.Co., and the Eureka Silver Co., There were branches in London and Canadian..
The Meriden Glass Company began in 1896.
These silver plated candlesticks are cut in the rare zipper prism pattern. Stunning - hard to photograph. They come with a removable insert. Each one has four feet.
They are signed with the marking for the Eureka Silver Company.
Hand blown, wheel cut, hand polished.
Measures 8 1/4" tall, top insert measures 2 1/2" and base measures 4".
Date circa 1900.

They are in excellent antique condition. Glass is clear. There are a few very very tiny pin pricks. Any white in the photos is from my camera flash. As with all antique glass, you will see signs of use. Please examine the photos very carefully to add to my description. Ask all needed questions before purchase.
