This listing is for a stunning example of early Mary Gregory glass. VERY USUAL QUALITY TO THE ENAMELING. They are a RARE green color that has a tint of amber to it in certain lighting.
This set dates from the 1880's.
Hand blown, wheel cut, hand polished.
All six pieces have a rough pontil.
The decanter measures 9 3/4" tall and is approx. 2 7/8" wide. Each glass is approx. 3 1/8" tall and the mouth is approx. 1 1/4" wide.
The stopper is hollow inside.
Cordial - sherry - liquor - port glasses.
These works of art would be a fabulous addition to your collection.
They are in excellent antique condition. Very minor wear to the enameling. There are a few tiny air bubbles on the underside of the feet that probably popped while the glass was cooling. One glass appears to have a hairline that seems to have started with a piece of sand in the glass from the blowing process. As with all very old glass, you will see signs of use.
