This listing is for a VERY RARE find - a Carl Falkenstein cast bronze lamp globe. Carl Falkenstein was from Philadelphia and made lamps like this between 1940's-1960's. He founded the Accurate Casting Company. He used a bronze clay/sludge material to decorate the opalescent art glass lamps. in the 1950s, he began to use paper foil labels to sign his pieces.
Color: White Pearl Translucent Opalescent Glass
Pendant / Hanging / Swag / Lamp Shade
Hollywood Regency Style / Period.
Dates circa 1950.
This lamp shade / lamp globe is very unusual and unique with its hand made "bronze" leaf design. The leaves have been attached to the globe by what I believe is some sort of "melding" of the two materials while they were in a hot workable stage. The leaves have been hand formed when the bronze was in a malleable state. Each leaf has very detailed design that includes a "ruffling" on both edges of the leaves.
RARE LARGE SIZE - measurements are written on my photos.
It is in excellent vintage condition. Remember that this is a vintage item that was used. There is some very very minor wear to the leafing. Any white in the photos is from my camera flash. Please examine the photos very carefully to add to the description. Ask all needed questions before purchase.
